All right JGG’s blog readers, I know you have been waiting for this since about October. Well, last week, on a relatively balmy for January Sunday, I decided that it was time to…….HARVEST THE BRUSSEL SPROUTS!!!!! Yes, the talk of the Arctic cold front coming had me a little concerned that my darling sprouts might get zapped like my foster cauliflowers had sooooo, I picked ‘em – some of ‘em that is….

OK – so it’s sprouts and shallots, drizzled with a fig balsamic vinegar and some good evoo…..and s & p of course!

Roasted at 450 for about 1/2 hour…..ok – let’s say it all together: JERSEY FRESH IN JANUARY!!!!! So so good – wish there was more! Oh wait, there is more!! Hope they aren’t done in by our recent 3″ of snow!

Looks so yummy…I love sprouts! Tried to grow this summer with NO LUCK!
Just found your blog Gina, way to go! I love BS and the way you made them sounds sooooo good.
Thanks Devi! I love my farmette – I remember talking to you about your past farming life too! Hope you are well – I think you should move to the 1,000 piece puzzles
