All right JGG’s blog readers, I know you have been waiting for this since about October. Well, last week, on a relatively balmy for January Sunday, I decided that it was time to…….HARVEST THE BRUSSEL SPROUTS!!!!! Yes, the talk of the Arctic cold front coming had me a little concerned that my darling sprouts might get zapped like my foster cauliflowers had sooooo, I picked ’em – some of ’em that is….
There lie the victims!
This was my prime specimen!
Family picture! What a gorgeous bunch of sprouts!
OK – so it’s sprouts and shallots, drizzled with a fig balsamic vinegar and some good evoo…..and s & p of course!
Roasted at 450 for about 1/2 hour…..ok – let’s say it all together: JERSEY FRESH IN JANUARY!!!!! So so good – wish there was more! Oh wait, there is more!! Hope they aren’t done in by our recent 3″ of snow!
